with so many food blogs out there writing abt the same things and taking the same pics, i decided to...

JOIN IN THE ACTION WITH MY VERY OWN FOOD BLOG!!!

with a twist... a top gear twist...

how its gonna work, is that every episode, i would list a type of food and list the top 10 places serving that particular type of food, with the no1 spot as the best and no10 spot as the worst. i challenge all readers (unfortunately singapore only) to challenge my list. if you know any place that deserves a better ranking, pop in a comment and i will invite a guest with me to go '踢馆'.

the list will not be fully filled in the beginning, so do put in your recommendations! if u like me to start on any food type, so pop in a comment as well...

since i last wrote something here...

in between the days of my last post and this, i...

1. suffered some mild depression
2. went reservist
3. had a serious bout of illness known as asthma and lung infection (still recovering)
4. went to 2 interviews with HR consultants
5. fall in love with 3 different girls
6. made my birthday wish in advance

not a lot in between you might say and definitely nothing constructive... couldn't even take part in helping the ZPGYs in their recording of a single in memory of those who perished in the recent Si Chuan earthquake...

for (1):
tink i m more lost in life than depressed it seems... juz felt life simply has no direction... work cant give me motivation and i kinda lost the ability to feel for anything...

for (3):
i tot i nearly died when i had my asthma attack in camp during reservist... and in the end i was high on steriods thanks to the camp MO... still feeling the pain in my ribs...

for (5):
i found myself intrigued by 3 ladies from the office... all of them represent the type of gals i would love to fall madly in love with...
first up is ms k... probably the most dao gal in the office with her cold depressed yet stunning looks... but beneath the frost is a gal i will neber get to know... whenever i see her in the pantry or anywhere, i feel like the incredible hulk with my heartbeat racing to 200 and mind going blank... :P
second is ms n... shes a gal that spends more time in the swimming pool than me spending time in front of the TV... very independent and sporty... and she laughs at every funny thing dat i said... feels so appreciated ah... wahahaha... always fun to have her as an sports activity partner... couldnt imagine why she says shes not very sporty...
finally is ms l... if you do not know her, she would have been the fiercest and meanest looking gal u would ever know... but shes totally opposite in character... shes brilliant... we had deep discussions on how we look at things in life... shes caring... so much so that she becomes the god-daughter of the aunties of the ya-kun outlet at our basement... really appreciate her introducing me to her mum n dad by bringing me to their family cafe for lunch...

for (6):
i wished that someone can celebrate my birthday with me this year and this wish repeats itself every year. 1 wish for eternity is not too much rite?

iris n i wanted to have the title of this blog as the above to signify wat we have discussed extensively today... we have decided to be some bad ass for once and be mean cuz the goody side of us doesn't seem to add value... really wan to thank her for taking the effort to 'try' to pick an argument to see if i can flare up (failed of course) and let me try my hand at quarreling... so sweet right?

actually, i have only one target this year - not erm... who, but learning the trumpet... trumpet is free thanks to my employer, hence, there is now no stopping me!!!

being a nice guy, i have decided to write a song for the aircon princess residing on the 'dark side' of my office floor... thanks to her, my heart rode roller coasters for 2 weeks.... hahahaha...

one more thing, i wan to say thanks to a certain aunty, who actually sms me asking how my day was while she herself was down wif stomach flu at home... so touched!!! *heart* u manz!!! wahahaha...

i m a friend.
a friend is also made of flesh and heart.
granted i may b insignificant.
i may not be senior or talented or sing.
and i dun even care if any one of you remembers my birthday or even celebrates it.
or be interested in my work or how i have been thriving or suffering.
i also don't mind not getting a listening ear or comforting heart which should come with a friendship package.
but certainly i have never ever said NO!
nor show my utmost displeasure when i should.
choosing to walk away somehow makes more sense than standing up.

kelly was right to say i have always been a wimp.
that was probably the most heartening thing to hear after a days' worth of sorrys.
and i really thank her for reminding me that

when it comes to "missing" personnel on my ZPGY list, one of the top names dat comes to mind would be our dear Ms Kelly Poon... yes, u seen right, she's the Kelly Poon dat much of Singapore knows... well, the lot of us has not seen her fer such a long time dat if we do get to see her, we probably would strike 4D... i muz b very lucky when i saw her at Raffles City!!! wahahaha... my colleague who was wif me was like "is she the she that i know?"

ah... those of you smelling for scandals, sorry to disappoint you, but shes shopping n eating with another of our top "missing" personnel Ms Jolyn... its so good to see the both of them anyways and Kelly has really thinned a bit since i last saw her b4 she went over to stay in taiwan... but still look very chirpy i muz say!!! tink we will meet up to chat while shes still in town...

anyways, juz to backtrack a bit... not too long ago, i went on a bike trip wif a group of gals dat i don't know (they are my friend's friends) at east coast... we thought we wanted to challenge the 42km park connector thingy... well, we didn't complete it manz... our challenge trip as at below:

there is a recent newspaper report saying that among singles polled, there are actually an overwhelming proportion of them fearing loneliness during CNY than Valentines Day... hmmm... what's that suppose to mean??? longer holidays make one more lonely??? perhaps our single friends needs to spend time with their families during the CNY period as opposed to having joint actitivites during Valentines Day...

whatever the case maybe, my CNY remains the way it has been since many years ago... just that this year was slightly different as i kinda kicked start my celebrations very early as part of my ZPGY decided to have an early gathering on the night before the eve to hav our 'loh hei' and reunion dinner...

dinner was pretty good actually, considering i m gonna be having the same menu (steamboat) for the next few days, i might as well get myself into a good groove... during the dinner itself, i was sitting beside this gal Dawn, whom i always thought was somewhat different from other gals i knew... our ZPGY DJ Kitty was openly and loudly mentioning at the table that she (Dawn) was my type of gal and that took me aback for a while... i was taken aback not becuz Kitty was rite, but more becuz when there is a 'your type of gal' girl sitting right next to you and you dun seem to fluster, something muz be terribly wrong ya...

i dun seem to feel anything these days... as opposed to my ZPGY Milk who can't feel anything as a result of emotional overdose, i thought my case was more serious as a result of emotional void for extended periods...

in any case, happie CNY to all!!! have a great year of the 'Niao Ci'... hee hee...

sorry for the lack of blogs since the last one... once i resume blogging, i will make sure i flood all my readers daily till 15th of the chinese new year!!! wahahaha... anyways, been so disorganised with work of late... stupid airshow and company's rebranding... yea, u heard rite... we r going to the airshow!!!

thought i wanna share a strange phenomenon in the office that i discovered for the past few weeks... besides the phenomenon of not getting used to seeing so many young bright good looking people hanging around the office, these people collectively have 1 passion:

foosball!! yes... whether u r a boss or junior officer, guy or gal, it gets ruthless on the foosball table... these people r really good manz!!! they can trap the ball, do fakes and stepovers, aim at corners of the goal mouth and hit the ball at speeds where u can't even see properly... and did i mention pretty gals in office wear play juz as awesome? i recently get to know tis tag team of Joanna and Charlotte (oooo... i lurv gals wif the name Charlotte) who has got to be the prettiest team on the office foosball league... and they are so MEAN on the table... wahahaha...

meanwhile, i still sucked at foosball... prefers the real thing manz...

after weeks of being disappointed for not being able to work for the mayor of new york due to unforeseen circumstances and not cut out to be an art director for major ad firms, it has all but comes down to this:

the view from my seat in my new workplace, some 18 storeys high on an overcast first day at work... on a clear day, i think i can actually see the sun set behind the towering buildings... will take a gd photo of that if it happens... but really surprised dat my seat was super big... and snug right in front of the window somemore...

was even more surprised to learn dat i m the reporting officer for a number of staff... alamak... feel a bit overwhelmed cuz suddenly pple's future and bonus is in my hands... as fer myself, i dun even know who is my line manager yet as i m yet to take up a portfolio :-P.... in the meantime, i hav already resumed my life of conference calls and meeting since this afternoon and lunch for the next few days = meet the bosses sessions... but overall, the team is SUPER NICE and SUPER LOUD and if we don't control ourselves during meetings... someone might be tempted to call security to have us ejected... heehee...

after work, i spend the night celebrating our ZPGY Ein Ein's birthday in AMK on a crab feast... *burps* still full of the pepper and chilli inside my gastric... its sedap ok!!! very importantly, i oso get to see this 'legendary' gal call Dawn in person today... yes, i m gonna risk the gang questioning my motives by saying: she's a different kind of preeetttieeee!!!

for the first time in 3 years, i don't have to dread going to work on the day after the new year... in fact this time round, i actually dread not going to work on the day after new years day...

spent much of this new years day at one of my ZPGY's house... kinda prefer spending quality time wif these pple over simple potluck, drinks n laughter rather than out in the WILD... erm... den again, wif these pple ard, anywhere and anything we do sure goes wild... this grp of pple oso seems to increase in number every year, and next year we will have a very very young member joining the gang!!! congrats to buwei n shuling!!! :-)

i m not goin to get sucked into into preparing mental lists of this thing call resolutions... yeah, my 2007 is a misfiring year and needs plenty of resolve to resolve (wat english is dat???) but i tink tis time round i shld go thru 2008 wif a 平常心... most impt is to stay healthy, injury free and keep looking forwards... i guess the rest will fall into place by themselves...

completed my health check today for my new employer... really happy about it becuz i found out that i lost weight!!! and tonnes of it... i feel so light!!! lalalala.....

the doctor was asking what i am doing in my new job and i was like huh?!?! frankly, i dunno wat i will be really doing in my job come next year... or rather there is no specific scope to begin wif... my job scope was not stated anywhere on my contract and dat i dun have an specific title that tells pple wat i do... juz a generic title: senior officer... tok abt identity crisis here... ooppss...

well, ard 20 years ago, i grew up watching this cartoon on TV call Macross... guys from my generation would remember the cartoon as the one with fighter planes that turn into robots... something like the japanese version of transformers... one of my very first growing up toy was a figurine of that VF (variable fighter - thats what its called)... i remember i wanted one wif the skull logo cuz my fav character from the show was the leader of a team call skull squadron... the character later died in that show and i remember dat as a kid that i was so shocked dat i didnt wan to watch the rest of the episodes...

25 years after the birth of that anime, the animation pple in japan decided to make another Macross serial scheduled to air next year to commemorate its 25th anniversary aka Macross Frontier... so, what they do to let us old boys relive that anime experience 25 years ago was to:

1. let cool planes that turn into awesome robots so that we dream dat we can be the handsome pilot flying one of these below:

some of you might hav already know, i will be getting my butt to an office somewhere in town early next Jan... believe it anot, tis comes after an extremely trying period fer me... there are times that i feel extreme agony, stress and disappointment... in the end, it adds up to the below:

it was not an easy decision to put aside my dream of working wif a 4A advertising agency... i took a whole mth to convince myself, to the extent that i need to keep telling myself how lousy i was and dat i m not qualified to join the industry... anyways, i wanna thank Michelle who is the head of admissions from my school CMA... she tried very hard to help me get audiences wif a number of major creative heads and she still believes i hav the talent for the industry...

sorrie to juan n milk fer all my poor attitute... becuz i m so moody these days, it may be a while before u get to see the real me making a spectacular comeback...

caught the movie Hitman a couple of days ago... yup... didnt disappoint... perhaps it relates to me more becuz i played Hitman on my PC some time ago... but i gave up playing becuz it got frustratingly difficult...

anyways tis entry is not abt the movie itself (see my facebook entry if u r ever interested in the review)... its more about the girl sitting beside me during the show... yah, dat's rite... she not my gal... shes juz one half of a random young couple sitting beside me...

wat's so interesting abt tis gal? well, shes cute i tink... but strangely tis couple dun really behave like a couple, they sit so far apart from each other dat i feel shes sitting closer to me... in fact, so close dat i got many whiffs of her sweet apple smelling hair... honestly, dat smell really brings back a number of good memories... and end up i keep getting distracted by that sweet smell...

this gal is oso quite funnily innocent becuz when the lady protagonist in the show dropped her dress stark naked, she actually made a loud gasp... i almost giggled out... tot dat reaction was kinda cute...

anyways next week is a do or break week fer me... keep tuning to this blog fer more details...

that was an old song in the 1970s which conveyed the fears of poor guys like me who cannot afford anything for the girls out there... more recently mega producer Timbaland had in his solo album another song talking about the same thing called "Way I are"...

it's painful for me when i realized that my heart loses motivation as the years passes by...
and when that reaches its limit, i retired from my job...

that in essence was the reason why i left my job...
but there were people that i wish i will neber left behind in my life...

in that job, friends are a rare occurrence...
i have always envied my peers back at RP becuz they hav one another and i feel so alone...
worse still, i feel that i don't belong anywhere at all...

juz some days ago
i met up wif someone that i hav worked wif in my previous job...
(ps - juan: saved u some trouble if u wanna ask more... heehee...)
was actually looking forward to the meet up
cuz i wanted to hear abt her exploits overseas
and that we hav not spoken fer the longest of time...

but deep inside, i am also worried that at this juncture
its inevitable fer me to reveal to her my true identity at the place that i work
and that it would change the way she look upon me...
fer i hav not been up front abt it...
in addition, nobody likes to be in the dark i suppose...

turns out i was thinking too much... i hope :P
the meet up was thoroughly enjoyable fer me
not sure abt her
but we spoke at length abt loads n loads of things under the sun!

some conclusions i got out of using this application call "inner circle" on facebook.

i have a few power circles.
power circles contain superhero friends.
they always get the pretty girls/guys.
they drive new cars.
they do great things like singing in front of capacity crowds and launching albums.
they do superb things like acting in movies, appear on prints.
they earn big bucks.
they are unique.
they make me envy.
that includes the rest of the world.

i hate my friends. sometimes.
ok. a lot of times.
but i am blessed to get to do dat.

want to introduce you all to another of my talented friends.
her name is Pris.
shes is obtaining scriptures in the fashion capital of milan.
but some of her works are already on display in singapore.
good job.

i pray fer my own survival this harsh winter.
and that you don't see me in sheng song in dec.
most of all.
i pray dat all my friends continue to be the great people they are destined to be.

15 minutes of glory in RED

if you ever see me wearing red, i must be out of my mind... indeed, i can't be sane these days when i am wearing these:

yea, its my new pair of futsal (street football) shoes from Lotto after i pulverized and decimated my previous pair of silver adidas... gone are the silver arrows and welcome the red baron!!!

i debuted them last thursday in my regular body harming kick ball session... and true to the name of the Red Baron, my first touches of the ball wif them lead to a spectacular goal within seconds of the game... i took control of the ball crossed from the left with my first touch on the right foot, then bring the ball onto my left foot which pulled the trigger upon the sighting of the slightest of opening between myself, the defender and the goal... the ball crashed against the left post and went in... "yah, new shoes manz..." were the comments around but i wasn't going to care...

in a matter of minutes, the hero become zero... blisters came as quick as my goal... both my left and right foots were hurting bad and bloodied... all thanks to my stupidity of wearing the wrong socks out... i was basically limping my way around... giving away balls cheaply and causing defensive mayhems...

ah well, typical me of body harming myself again in football...

anyways earlier that day, i discovered something cool from Meiji!!!

it is no urban legend that i have more CDs than i have money in the bank... which kinda explains why i m not popular wif gals... wahahaha... (kewei n juan if u r reading tis, i still hav quite a fair amt of CDs with the both of you!!!!!)... anyways, in this digital age, you may be wondering why would someone still buy CDs? walau, juz go download somewhere lah!!!

recently in Oct, the mega Brit rock band Radiohead made an attempt to trail-blaze the entire music industry with the release of their new album, 'In the Rainbows' on the web... lots of artistes hav done that via iTunes considering the dawn of the digital age, but here's the catch: Radiohead has offered listeners to download their new album on their website at any price the listeners deem fit... that means you can download their entire album (no royalty or rights protection) at 1 pound or 100 pounds (if u r drunk or high on caffeine)... juz key your price and wa-la!!! the album is yours... i would add that the album comes ripped in mp3 at 160kbps and you can actually buy the physical album at 40 pounds (siao boh?? 120 SGD) which comes wif a couple of vinyls and 6 unavailable songs....

unofficial reports have claimed a million odd downloads so far, with abt 60% of the downloads paid fer... and of those paid, the mean amt is ard 4 pounds (roughly 12 SGD)... hmmm... not bad considering it can actually be downloaded for free... or is it?

consider some facts:
1. Radiohead did not have a major label to distribute this album in the first place... so it was an incentive to try a different way to launch the album... no labels in the world would even dare to do something so audacious...

2. Audacious? did i say? considered Radiohead's current status as a cult wif a huge following... it made full use of the notion of "Relationship Fans", where fan support is crucial... new bands or artiste with a mobile following cannot pull this off... it demonstrates to major labels that they need to secure the loyalty of these fans when distributing albums... it also helps fer listeners who are not fans, a chance to get to know the band's music better... w/o paying the price...

3. there is a growing trend that artiste, esp bands have the bulk of their income from gigs and shows... it is rumoured that some artiste earn more on the road than the sales of all of their albums add together... seriously, the pple who watch gigs are the ones with spending power... Jay Chau should really launch his album for free...

4. listeners are not fools. like every ordinary consumer, they have rising expectations... many artistes and music industry executives are lamenting their losses to online pirates but the truth is artistes themselves are losing fans with lousy products... their core fans will still buy CDs... but there are many others beyond those fans who feel that it is not worth it to throw bucks for a CD with a only a couple of hits among loads of crap... it sure feels like a sucker when you know that by buying a CD, you allow the artiste to enjoy his huge swimming pools while his CDs only has a couple of hits...

as a songwriter, i cannot openly support piracy... however, i m a strong advocate of allowing listeners a chance to fully sample an album before buying... yeah, there will be people who r chao kuan thanks to the ipod, but consumers deserve to make a more informed choice b4 buying...

till now, i have not downloaded the album from Radiohead's website... even for free...

in continuation of my previous post a week ago... i have now made contact with the mysterious gal... wats a scandal without the graphics eh? so here's a pic below that asks a thousands questions...

shes the gal outside the saloon... i first knew her a couple of years ago at another hair saloon... my stylist Sandee was caught up with another customer, so she had this newbie stylist to work on my hair... i was skeptical at first, but my usual stylist was right!!! this newbie was talented... so in the months that followed, she would occasionally take over from Sandee once in a while when shes tied up... otherwise, she would like to sneak up on me to gimme a pat and make me jump in startle... she would laugh at that sight...

but fate has it that after a year plus, there was a major exodus from that saloon and my stylist Sandee and this newbie left... Sandee went on a hiatus to take up some jobs fer fashion shows, so i was w/o a stylist fer a while... we kind of lost each other *sads* until a week ago...

so they say the best way to meet up n reminisce abt the old times was back in the hair studio... i told her i was super excited to see her again and she giggled until her face went red... we tok a lot abt what happened in between and how she ended up at where she is now...

nevermind if Sandee is gonna get angry fer skipping our usual appointments... but it sure is good to recover friends u lost... by the way, her name is EVE...

YESTERDAY.
while i was acting like a kid and sulking my day away at the fact that my ZPGYs did not jio me fer their recent outing, some voice was instructing me to drag my disgustingly overweight body fer my once a week body harming ball kicking session... i know i will still need to survive the day before football, so a little bit of retail therapy is pretty gd anesthetic...

so i was at far east plaza looking at shoes n babes when i noticed this gal outside a hair saloon... then a passing glance that connected... that split second... my mind suddenly disconnected itself as it kept searching for images... without realising, i hav already walked around the corner and down the escalator... by then, i began to unfreeze and turn to look towards her direction while coming down the escalator... i saw her coming out of the saloon looking frantically in every direction...

once again, i became a little kid and that little connecting glance took over my mind fer the rest of my nite... and my football was a mess as a result... and would you believe it, my shoes both left n right totally destroyed in that night during the game, and i hurt myself a bit...

that night i decided... i will go back and say HI~ (to be continued...)

had a great closing to the week because:
1. received the biggest royalty cheque from COMPASS in my career today
2. my fav football team won again
3. completed Halo 3
4. my ankle is healing nicely
5. had some ideas for Esther's wedding creative execution and interior design ideas

its really strange that most of my good friends are not football fans...
erm... i m probably the strange one among them i guess...

for those who knew, i grew up reading so much abt Ian Rush and Liverpool on chinese newspapers... it wasn't until sec sch when i pledged my allegiance to this team who could boast that even Liverpool hadn't won the premiership since its inception while they had did it once besides man u, arsenal and chelsea...

thanks to more tv coverage, i get to see more live games where my fav team Blackburn Rovers played... tonite was another match shown live as they played away to tottenham spurs in London... to be honest, Rovers are 2nd best on most occasion throughout the match, but they stuck it in and never gave up when the going gets tough... goalkeeper Brad Friedel was the hero of the day as he came up with numerous brilliant saves while only beaten by a great spurs penalty... but persistence do pay off right at the death when Chrissy Samba (i love this long-legged chap) whom you would never thought would score except from his head, thumped the ball into the net at the edge of the area with his right boot and snatch a win for Rovers...

i always had wished i had a girlfriend who is oso a football or sports fan... i tink it would b nice if we could go to different cities in Europe not only to tour but also watch football matches and visit the great stadiums like San Siro or Emirates... if i had persisted more with girls i loved like Rovers did today...

only causing constant pain in debating whether to use it for good

very enviro friendly package - paper box carefully folded to hold the player....

the player!!! i m still using my ipod earbuds.... until my sony earbuds comes dat is... though the iriver ones sounds decent, but its the player dat rocks... goodbye sucki sounding ipod!!!

note the colour display: the display comes with animated wallpaper themes that changes itself everyday... and they r so heartwarming!!! this theme is called 'heidi' the cloud moves, snows falls depending on the theme pic.... paisei i hav not remove the screen sticker as i need to find a screen protector first...

but no harm wishing for them anyways i suppose... here's my list of top 10 things i wished for:

no 10: braces
tis was somethin in the pipeline fer many years and now it might juz happen... hopefully i hav saved enough to get this done ya...

no 9: language classes
rekindled the idea of taking french when i had 2 french interns in the office... muz get past the stage of "bon XXXX"... anyways i only learnt 'bonsoir' was 'good evening' when they were dere... oso learnt language can get to meet gals n pick up gals... hehehe...

no 8: xbox 360 games and accessories
i have spend quite a lot of $$ getting accessories and games fer me xbox... now waiting for games such as 'winning 11 x' to be launch later tis year...

no 7: Honda Civic 1.8
the new generation civic is the car to die for!! it has got all the stuff i look for aesthetically... dual exhaust, digital speedometer, blue led instrument panels, beige interiors and a uplifting butt!!! woo hoo!!! but no car fer me until one day i decided to leave the CBD to work elsewhere or i struck TOTO 1 million!!!

i m back...
thank you to those who hav realised i was away :P

anyways i was serving the nation fer the past 3 weeks... during the past 3 weeks, i have done a lot things that i have not been doing fer the past 6 years or so:

1. kena arrow to become a CSM
CSM aka 'company sergant major' is like the discipline and admin master of a school. i kinda hate it cuz i couldn't slack around and there r many things to do. sianz. i tink i m more like a 'company super mario'.

2. eaten chicken and chicken wings everyday for 3 weeks
pui! the last thing i m gonna eat for the next 3 weeks in the civilian world is chicken!

3. downing alcohol almost every other day
i tink most of my company pple would come out of ICT feeling more unhealthy than healthy as we r like smoking and drinking too much than we should. and yeah, we hardly exercised...

4. use of extreme vulgarities in loud volumes
sorrie folks! if i like suddenly blurted out stuff like f*ck and ch**by*, dat means i have not yet recover from army withdrawl syndrome. subutex required. hehe...

5. spend my night near to the cemetry
its pretty spooky to pass by the cemetry roads on a 5 tonner at night with all that fog and dim glow of lights in the distance.

6. wake up before 5am
in my normal life in the past 6 years, i at most slept at 5am, never had i woke up at that time!

its really strange to be able to meet so many different pple from all walks of life... in my company, we have like an entertainer, auditors, serious financial analysts, entrepreneurs and even a DRIFT King of Singapore!!! yesh, no doubt abt it, its the DRIFTING of cars like Initial D!!! he even has his own tyre sponsors... woo hoo!!!

a couple of sundays ago, our diva ms Tay Kewei made it on to the centrespread, yep! i repeat centrespread! of the local giant of a newspaper <联合早报> wif a estimated 2 million readership (1 mil in circulation)!!! the justification that it is big:

1. only people wif news value made it up to the cover story of the zbW. the known faces who made it up to the cover were like 小寒 who was featured before Kewei and Phyllis Quek the week after. that means shes in the league of these pple. BUT MORE IMPORTANTLY, none of these pple were on the centrespread!!! they were only covered in the first couple of pages of the zbW...

2. the thing abt centrespread is, the coveted value of it. a typical centrespread cost like:
50K in <联合早报>!!! plus the cover premium rates and the full color surcharge and stuff like dat, i estimated that if an ad got a space equivalent, it would cost in the region of 70 to 80K. but the centrespead is like the holy grail, its representative value is more than that of the space value!!!

tis time round, we did a 3-in-1... to celebrate 3 birthdays in one go... wahahahaha... sounds good eh? yep... no need so ma huan to do seperate celebrations ah... anyways we did it on last fri... our planned activities has loads of C's involved... yep cash n card included... hehe... but more importantly, the event highlights r CAKE n CHEONG!!!

yep... i m still suffering from football withdrawl syndrome... dats becuz tis is my happiest World Cup in my living memory!!!

1. ITALY won the World Cup!!! the last time they lifted the Cup, i wasn't even born yet...
2. Gilardino score a crucial goal in the game against USA which they drew...
3. tis is the first time i bet via legal means.... SG Pools... hehehe...
4. though i betted small, i still managed to win back the italy away jersey i bought!!! woo hoo... and my friends all won $$$ based on my "tips"... hehehe....

have not watched football among the masses fer a long time liao... strange my ZPGY wanted to watch as they r not too into balls like i do... hence, we hopped downed to Chambers @ Robertson Walk... thanks to Milk, whose friend's sis is the owner... we couldn't even got seats fer this HOT match if we reserved on our own... and best of all, we got the best seats in the house... in front of the HD TV projector screen... i can almost count the pimples and sweat droplets on the players' faces... wahahahah!!!

DT's crowd was on their feet whole nite long and erupted when he did the 80's english hits segment... btw, i tot JJ's concert was suspiciously like "made in mediacorp"... anyways, here r the highlights....

last sunday nite, i got a little honourable mention on the radio station UFM1003... the reason being my friend muxiong got invited on the set to do a segment wif ke ning, the UFM DJ about his 创作... yep!!! he got REAL FAMOUS recently becuz of a hit song he wrote for rainie 杨丞琳 call <可爱>!!! and yesh, the lyrics is by our famous and immensely talented mr. lesheng!!! 掌声鼓励鼓励!!! i sincerely implore all of u who subscribe to tis blog to go check out the song and the lyrics... den u will know y rainie cried over tis song when she sang it...

all thanks to muxiong fer mentioning my name on the airways!!! its always nice to hav someone rememeber u... actually it also reminded of the 2 times that i was on YES933... its really a strange feeling to speak to pple who u can only imagine... and on both occassion i was like trying very hard not to sprout vulgarites, refrain from mixing english in my words and most imptly, trying not to say somethin real stupid... wahahahaha!!!

yep... being on radio is really a unique experience and i m glad i hav done dat while many others could only listen as audience... those were the days... when i was truely happie....

Part 2: re-live Project Superstar

as promised, heres part 2 of my happening fridae...

logically after sentosa, most would hav tot i shld b proceeding to watch 22 men kicking a ball around... well, hell no!!! it was punggol dat i went...

nope... not go some kopitiam wif the live telecast thingy, but doin supper at tis place call 'Punggol Nasi Lemak'.... tis stall is supposedly famous fer its nasi lemak... in fact it had a very cool??? tagline which says: "Punggol Nasi Lemak, 历史为证!" dats how snobbish it gets... but i didnt find it special... tot fong seng's version had way more variety in 配料 and golden shoe's green rice nasi lemak has more fragrance... in any case, the chick wing is quite stunningly steaming n crispy... n dats wats good abt it i suppose...

anyways, supper was a prelude to the main event fer the nite... KTV!!! at hougang shopping centre's K-Box... yep, me is not keen when it comes to KTV... due to all the stress wif the gang of ZPGY whom 99% can sing like cd player... me rather go chase ball and skip a few defenders or watch the bikini babes play volleyball... sigh... anyways god knows y i went but i did...

as it goes, sugie and weijian... juz a min... sugie and weijian??? the chaps from project superstar??? yesh!!! no doubts abt dat!!! they were waiting fer us at kbox to croon and we like squeezed in 8 pple in a 6 seater room... it was pretty cosy and we got quite high singing some power songs like <孙悟空> until we got chased out of our room by the kbox pple... ooopzz... we were like huh? cuz we wanted a big room earlier and we couldn't change cuz we r suppose to spend $300 bucks n above? wah kao... open bottle oso no so ex lor!!! we were like told dat we r moving into a bigger room... in this room, we had projector screen!!! wireless mics and yep we actually can dance ard while we sing... all these muz give special thanks to ms kelly poon!!! wahahaha... i oso wanna b a star!!! ok... i shall go learn singing manz....

dats was one amazing part... den comes the next... cuz all these pple r terrific singers, 飙歌 is like inevitable... every song they chose was getting more n more difficult... it was den i realised dat i feel so tiny in dere... the stars of the nite was not kelly poon n he weijian, its actually our dear lesheng and sugie!!! they dueted a lee hom old song: <信任> and all of us melted on the spot... den sugie did a concert version of DT's <找自己> and becuz the room was so huge, he ran ard hugging us like his fans exactly like the ktv video... but the way he took tis song in his stride was equally amazing!!! (P.S: the next day den i knew sugie wasn't able to read chinese on the ktv screen and dat he memorise the songs by listening... WOW!!)

everyone has so much fun dat we could hav sang all the way till morning if possible... but i found myself on the awing end... well, i oso get to know a few nice songs dat wont possibly be heard a lot on radio, such as <牡丹江> by 南拳妈妈 and <直觉> by soler...

on the way back, me shared a cab wif juan n weijian... had a breif chat wif weijian... realised hes the brains behind the XYJ2003 finals CGs for stage as a student project... he was like sitting in the control box and pressing the computers... wah!!! talented sia... so we were all connected in some ways... lesheng was the winner of best performance... i was below watching and juan was doin backup vocals... and weijian doin graphics... it was den he got inspired to sing n write seriously.... btw, his debut album wif play music will be out in a few month's time...

after dat nite, juan was bugging me abt my private rankings of my ZPGY in terms of singing had forced some changes... will post dat soon... watch tis space...

meanwhile i was 'on radio' on sunday nite...

Part 1: Molested My Heart...

this will b a very long blog abt wat's happening over the weekend... pls stayed tuned.... here's the 1st installment...

these few weekends has been very interesting... especially my fridays... last week was shopping wif the ladies, this week, i was molested...

was at sentosa on friday... managed to drag myself dere after coughing out pages of tender documents and month submission reports... why was i dere? hmmm, actually it was milk n ein who suggested we could go watch the rest of the Superbands perform... well, fer me, i juz wanted to watch taiwanese singer TANK...

as i was really very very late, i was really w/o any admission ticket and was like standing outside the venue and blur blur to wait fer Ein to come pick me up... den tis uncle very nice, see me like very lost den ask me to come in through the main entrance... so after some security checks and clever evasion tactics, i managed to mix my way in towards the VIP, press n sponsor section where the gang was...

before i reached sentosa, i had kind of regretted going becuz its really awkward to wear office clothes (one of my colleagues was even asking y i wear so formal on a fri) to siloso beach and i was pretty fatiqued... but the office clothes turn out to be a blessing... cuz the mediacorp crew mistook me as some sponsor rep which explained why i m able to escape suspicion... whahaha...

in fact, i strongly suspect the office wear i had on has somethin to wif me being molested... so why was i molested? by who? did i call the police?? NO!!!! wahahahaha... anyways as the story goes, we were quite surprised that there r quite a no of celebrities present... forgot abt the guys... we saw some of the superhost pple... jamie teo (hot level = 3, 5 max), priscelia chan (hot level = 4, who would have known she's such a hottie... her figure is so wah....) and belinda lee (hot level = 5, she wore a blue bare-back top and white hot pants... yesh... she had nu-bra on)

yep... i cant help staring down her (belinda's) back... :P hey, now u all know i was neber brokeback... so much so dat i tot i flirted wif her a bit... yup... she looked at me a few times and smiled everytime...wah... mayb it helps wearing shirt and pants cuz many pple was staring at me as i was the odd fella wearing dat to sentosa...

midway towards the show, belinda walked over to where we were and got introed by Ein (Ein knew her through Superband)... and so we shook hands and GOD! while she was holding my hand, she like put her left hand near my waist.... wah!!! den i realised i shook her hand fer too long... so we like chatted fer a while and i cant stop looking at her n her back.... *faints*

after the little chat, she had to go and before she go shes like saying goodbye to everyone of us... den she..... PAT ME ON THE BACK AND DID A LITTLE RUB DOWN MY BACK!!!!!!

at that moment, i was like: 爽！

sorrie Milk, i know i m hot!!! wahahaha...

even though we all jolly well know shes a social butterfly... dun tink she will remember any of our names, but tinking of her molest dat nite make me super high... where got celeb so friendly de?? shes really good at mixing ard i guess... and in this industry, it sure helps... even if u really wish to know pple, it good to mix ard de...

friends who know my ZPGY clic well will know dat we simply love to play tis game call MAFIA... for the benefit of those who dunno what tis game is all abt, it is actually a 'murderer' game where the bad guy=mafia hides among the whole group of pple (consisting of doctor, spy & the general public) to try to eliminate the rest either by killing or voting...

tis mind game, a good round dat is, can last us approx an hour plus for a grp of 10 of us... in fact it is so addictive dat some of us actually prefer it to mahjong and our Superstar Kelly can rush all the way down from nowhere to join the ZPGY fer tis...

as we hav not been playing tis game since the CNY gathering at our friend Buwei's place, we decided to gather last nite at the shaw centres alfresco MacDonalds to have a few rounds...

frankly, i sucked at tis game...
a) i hav no contribution watsoever, be it the role of the civilian or doctor or spy...
b) i can't hide my feelings... pple can tell right away if i m the MAFIA... i m probably the only mafia who get himself voted out at the very 1st round...
c) i believe in pple too easily...
d) i lack persuasion... others had to believe in my friend that i spoke the truth instead of directly believeing in me...
e) i alwaes caused confusion and not saying the right stuff and also say stuff at the wrong time...

i m really not the type of person suited to tis game where loads of playacting is needed... i m like an open book where u dun even hav to read to know whether i m telling the truth or not... sigh... i also get critisized for not making any use of my special roles such as the doctor or the spy when i had them...

i really dunno how to playact!!!
i know everybody is bek chek becuz i could hav help made the game easier or less confusing...
but i m really not able to read pple too well...
i m the only single chap around... the rest of u probably can tell better whether your partner is speaking the truth... sigh...
i hate being commented upon after the game for not being useful n not doing things as i should...
i really envy those of you, even if u lost the game, got praises for doing a great job in that role...

sigh... i derive no sense of accomplishment from tis game... worse, i dread being the burden to the rest of the group...

dun get me to play more as a form of training... i m juz not that kind of person suited to play MAFIA... tink the only training i should hav is as a programmer...

btw, i m probably the only person to kena 3 lian zhuang to being a MAFIA and 3 lian zhuang to being a spy...

something to ponder: quite a no of mercedes cab zoomed by and i couldn't get on any... in the end, i got up a cab and zipped my way home via Holland V and guess what? i only stopped once fer traffic light along the way... saved me a dollar plus less O/N charge... i guess dat applies to r/s...

The Amber Trail

i m back... went on the AMBER trail... a trail where dreams were made, realised and departed... i hav been supporting all my friends all year round, from Kelly in Proj Superstar and WX in Proj Superhost... to Amber in Superband now... i felt the most wif Superband... dunno is it becuz i knew these pple for the longest time or becuz i have seen Amber when it was still an infant...

didnt sleep well the night they were eliminated from the competition... felt their hard work, passion and dedication... and i know we will be missing their performances a lot... i m thankful to AMBER for their willingness to share their music ideas wif me... feels so like i m a part of this journey... AMBER's journey...

before i share this journey i hav been thru with the rest of the you, it really amazing how i get to reconnect with some familiar faces and getting to know some new faces as well... nice to hav known u pple... they r:

tink junwei was the luckiest guy on the island called singapore on sat nite!! cuz he went on a nite out wif 4 gals!! and hes lucky becuz everyone of the gals is so wonderful!!!

was at the very new watering hole, The Balcony at Heeren. very arabian setting but sorrie guys, no waitress dressed like belly dancers to serve u... yah... n deres a jacuzzi in the middle dunno fer wat... hahaha...

anyways the nite began wif ourselves having a table wif some stools and started wif a round of drinks... this junwei is super useless cuz the gals like called a bucket of Heineken n hes like sipping away on his earl grey, simply for the fear of turning into incredible hulk and scaring away the pretty gals around him n the rest of the crowd... hee hee... but who can resist the temptation??? of pretty gals asking u to drink wif them lah... where u tinking? so i resist no longer!!! hahahaha... admist the heavy rain, numerous rounds of 'zong ji mi ma' and chatter, we looked back at our 2005 and den laid down our resolutions for 2006... fer me, i wanted
a) to have a BIG increment to my current job (tis is an open secret)
b) back to drumming
c) revive my creative 'career'
d) learn cooking
e) watch F1 in sepang
tink junwei's resolutions r relatively ez to achieve, so tink they will happen tis 2006. fer the gals, may all ya resolutions come true, and since u all r such nice gals, i do tink they will!!! well, all great times muz pass and we ended the session almost 6 hours after we began... :)

tot i wanted to blog abt how i discovered i was actually dumb-witted my whole life over a xmas nite... yep... its in my draft folder... but i tot Ein Ein's entry was way more meaningful... so here it is guys n gals...

说说我的圣诞节，好吗？

圣诞之前，我和牛奶就收到消息，那就是我被派去东莞了。老板现在好像开始和我们玩针对，不知道是不是要借此分开我们。那天，牛奶去见了他的supervisor，ruheng。Ruheng说mr.ang（大老板）不爽牛奶了，因为他认为牛奶耍把戏（通过我去告知意大利的partner导致他可以回来出席姐姐的婚礼）。牛奶很气，想马上飞回去对质，甚至想不干了。我们最后都决定不干了，当然不单纯这回事，而是有太多的不良因素让我们没有办法做下去。老是被人抹黑。后来向好朋友询问这件事情时，也证明了被有心人抹黑。

唉。

最后，我们决定，我回东莞去取回最后的行李。然后再打算要不要回去意大利。因为我有很多“家产”在那边哦。

因为要过去东莞，我们就势必要在圣诞节好好的度过。牛奶召集了我们那一班疯的十多人一起庆祝。上次过去意大利，就很想念着一班人。我们在raffles place的coffee club吃晚餐，然后慢慢，就看到牛奶露出马脚了！呵呵。

原来大家有准备一个圣诞老人的造型蛋糕为我提前庆祝生日呢。因为这次过去中国，不知道什么时候才能回来，我的新年，还有生日，都要准备自己过呢！>< 吹了蜡烛，大家起哄叫我献吻牛奶，我就马上开开心心大大方方的印了一个唇，结果大家喊很显啊，为什么那么快，一点矜持都没有，就是要看我在那里扭扭捏捏讲不好意思不要啦。哈哈，这般人。牛奶准备了一份礼物给我，是很漂亮很漂亮的化妆盒，哈哈。开心到~~ 飞起~~

接近12点前，我们转移阵地到了boat quay旁的tcc，玩mafia，然后在12点到达前十分钟全副武装聚集在河畔。呵呵。全部人手上都被分派至少3瓶的泡泡，准备乱射！结果我吃到很多泡泡啊！！那种化学的味道，钻进我鼻子嘴巴还有眼睛，我们疯狂的闹，围堵，追赶，最后大家都变雪人！呵呵。

打理好都已经接近2点了。大家在ocbc银行外面的空地围成一个14人的大圈圈，开始玩一些笨游戏，比如打电话啦，对还是错啦，Black magic啦，玩到笑到很疯。最后当然就是mafia，此game一开始，注定到天亮。

接近6点，大家轮流散水。我和牛奶搭上NR8。两个人都已经很困，我静静的握着他的手，很不舍得。一天一天的在倒数。

醒过来已经是第二天的下午3点半。因为很快就要分开，牛奶很怕只有两个人独处，他很怕很容易就难过了。约了同一班人到orchard，再转移到mr.bean，聊天mafia到天亮。这样又度过了一天。

26日，醒来又是下午了，和牛奶在附近杂货店兜转，为我去东莞做好准备。然后就是整理行李，提钱什么的。到最后，又再约了同一班人到mr.bean。三天看到同一班人，大家都应该很想吐吧，呵呵。本来只想匆匆聚聚，结果又是到天亮了。回到家里已经是早上6点，睡了一个小时而已。睡的时候，牛奶已经累得不能动了，我把他的手绕在我的腰间，分开前很想被他这样抱着睡。

27日，我在机场了。因为我们都很累反而情绪比较稳定。在入闸前拥抱再拥抱，亲吻再亲吻。开很多玩笑缓和情绪。

我在飞机上睡了好一下。就到东莞了。而牛奶啊，居然一个人在街头流荡时在某购物商场的角落睡着了。

看到这个email时，很心疼。他说他很lost。

知道厉害了吧。一直以来都是他离开我，这可是第一次他送我离开呢。

……

好想念他呢。

i have never feel so ashamed in my life.

yesterday i was queing up to do my coin deposit at POSB. yep, means i m out of cash again and have to resort to breaking my piggy bank. behind me in the queue came a weird looking guy. tink he shld b in his 40s, bad breath, bad teeth, bird nest hair and tucking his polo right into his obiang looking pant. worse still hes like leaning so close that we are barely a few cm apart. and a lot of pple in the queue were looking as if we r a couple. that's not the worst. the worst is he was humming his breath and a tune into my ear. guess the tune - lao shu ai dai mi!!!! (mice love rice) *faints* and the thing is he only knew the tune to the 1st 2 lines of the chorus. like a cd machine broken down, he keeps repeating the 2 lines in a super pitchy humming voice!!!

he was lucky to have met me cuz i was an extremely good audience for almost half an hour w/o walking out. got the urge to ask him to stop but i refrained. so i stared at him. a few times. he stared back. but nope, the cd machine is still broken. when we were reachin the end of the queue, he miraculously changed song!!! i couldnt quite make out wat he was humming (god knows y i would wan to know anyways) becuz of his off key humming, but i tot it was some hit from li yi jun. *faints even more* at least he knew more lines in this number.

juz before it was my turn, the strange man did something dat made me really ashamed of myself. in most queues, they r like zig-zag yeah, anyways, this strange man bend under the 'belt' of the queue stand and i tot he left the queue, so i was like 'thank god'! but wat he actually did made my heart real heavy. there was a very old and frail looking ah mah somewhere behind in the queue (tink abt 70+ years old) who was not in existence until then. she looked as if she needed some medical attention.

nope, that strange man did not go over to haress the ah mah. INSTEAD, HE WENT OVER AND OFFER HIS PLACE TO THE AH MAH WAY BEHIND IN THE QUEUE EVEN THOUGH HIS TURN IS COMING!!!

that moment, i felt really sick. sick of my selfishness and shallowness.

the senior citizens are alwaes forgotten. do not forget abt them. show them care and concern. esp those of u wif grandparents. i dun even have any.

1. David Tao [LOVE CAN WORLD TOUR 2005]
on the 26th tis month, me is goin to throw in a whoppin SGD$168.00 to catch DT live in concert at the indoor stadium!! cant wait to see our dear Kewei on the big concert screen and doin the tango. best seats in the venue too!! woo hoo! heng got a discount on the tic price :P

2. Cheer Chen Qi Zhen
her concert on the 19th tis month will be sorely missed by me. thanks to our ah juan who didnt confirm and the tics all got snapped up. :(

3. Enya - Amarantine
tis lady is such a big shot dat she normally let her fans wait 5 years for a new album. she has such an elaborate launch for tis album, probably costing millions, that u muz die watch a clip of it in the watch tower section of her official website www.enya.com i oso heard she did her press conference and party in a planeterium in Germany. hey asian artistes, tink some of u can try launch yor new album in such places ya?

4. Leo Ku - Star Tacks (Canto) and <最终幻想>(Mandarin)
his last few album seems to be running the same theme - games! his album packages r so elaborate tis time round dat i muz really go take a pic of it and parade to you all some day. i kinda like the cover poto of the album. super cool. music wise he is juz cool! he dares to try new stuff manz. but somehow i feel he is kinda restrained himself in the <最终幻想> album. quite disappointed though. in any case, he is still my idol. heck care if hes gay.

5. Nickelback - All The Right Reasons
finally they come up wif a GREAT album. if linkin park dont launch their album b4 xmas, this will probably be the best eng album i bought so far tis year. their old albums used to have only a couple of great sounding songs in the whole album which is such a waste, but tis time round they got it right. tink tis will be their best selling album by far, lookin at the charts in US. but muz give them credit cuz they r still a classic band - no crazy costumes like motley crue, no antics like aerosmith or bon jovi, no punk like hoobastank n linkin park n no bad words like limp bizkit. woo i love the way they do their rim shots on the snare. btw, i got tis feeling SHIN of taiwan mirrors them a lot.

6. Chris Botti - To Love Again
been looking forward to this late this year and it has not reach singapore yet. but tis album is disappointing in many ways though. no 1: its not as good as the previous album where he remakes the classics to become so stylish. tis ablum is another remake of classics but too subtle and lacks his sexy touch no2: even the cover looks like the previous album.

in between, i also bought yanzi's + fish leung's + qi zhen's new albums. qi zhen's is a muz buy! yanzi n fish can buy if u got spare cash!!

remember: parallel imports from china is 'illegal' in singapore.

if i had a alternative career choice, i would probably made a good personal shopper. sounds bullish, but i can shop longer, shop smarter, shop with control, shop without control, shop with taste, shop to maximise your dollar. ok. at least i m good at shopping alone.

like a monster inside me awaken, i took the whole weekend to window shop alone. found so many clothes that i wished i had in my wardrobe, found so many nice cds, bags, shoes n gadgets that i wish i was an ah sia. in the end i bought a martins fields screen film which i tot was a 'need' more than a 'want'. :P for my new love SEK750I.

while i travelled 3 zaras and 1 raoul in search of the autumn look, somethin struck me while i was at the men's section. i discovered: gals, gals, gals! pretty gals, all of them. wah kao! how come i was the only man in the guy's section? where have all the men gone? 2 tots streaked across my mind:

i was wrong to tink dat deres a big mkt for metrosexuals. wrong becuz the bigger mkt is still the ladies mkt cuz gals made guys the metrosexuals they tot they r. guys still dun shop as much as gals, metrosexuals anot. so if i were to do retail, i will sell clothes that gals would like their guys to wear!!! sure make money!!! den i can drive fast cars, hang out wif the gals in the coolest bars and have a 完美的一天!! hahahahaha....

btw, i was peeking at wat the gals chose fer they guys... pink shirts, shirts with red or pink or green or orange stripes. hahahaha... poor bfs n husbands...

the bigger tot that came to me is i have not gotten that feeling of knowing that a particular someone is shopping fer my clothes fer eons...

when i blog abt events dat happened in life, they r often historical. and i mean really historical cuz the event would probably hav happened so damn long ago when i decide to blog abt it!! yep, me goin to blog abt this event, which happened last sat at brewerks!! PS: the food and service at brewerks sucks!!

actually, tis event is somewhat like a annual thingy whereby all the WCM writers get together fer chit chats, catch ups and most imptly, get richer!! :-P no lah, frankly, i didnt expect to get some income tis time round, but hey! i m 7,000.00 bucks richer!! erm... in NT... so sorie guys n gals - no treat tis time... wan treat get from Buwei!! hahahaha...

SisMon our boss, as usual, didnt age one bit. how she do dat sia? mayb becuz she quit smoking liao? cuz no see her puff n puff throughout unlike the previous years where i cant even see her face from her smoke generating cigarettes in SI... hee hee... btw, tink she forgotten who i m liao cuz she asked if i hav tunes *protests*

9月15日晴。原来还是夏天。可是，好像看到山顶上有雪。

应该是没有人注意到，这个星期只有娟血行动，却没有moisturizing milk。为什么呢？都怪junwei！（都怪他太好人让我偷懒停刊一星期。。。内疚）

中秋节快要来了。已经是第五年的中秋没有和爸爸妈妈婆婆舅舅阿姨姨婆姑姐叔叔姐姐弟弟表哥表姐以及其他人等一起庆祝了。（故意写多多增加字数，哈哈~~！！）我记得以前在众多的月饼里面，我最不喜欢吃有蛋黄的，不喜欢吃冰皮的。我比较喜欢外面脆皮里面是紫色的芋头的月饼，还有绿色的翡翠月饼。！！

画面里依稀是一群小孩子把外婆家周围的栏杆点满了各色各样大大小小的灯笼，还有一些小孩子在用蜡烛玩煮饭游戏，还有一个小孩子在烧植物和昆虫。（恩，我就是那个小孩子。）多年后的今天，这种充满kampung味道的记忆已经是很难再找回来的了。记得有一次，我为了迎接一个小妞和她的姐姐从jb回来，把bukit panjang的家挂满了灯笼。那时候，是唯一的一次最有童真画面的记忆了！还有一次，就是在Kent Ridge Park的Moonlight Festival 的Gig过后，和我的bandmates一起玩灯笼，吃月饼。他们都是angmor派的人。看他们一直用英语说关于中秋节的欢喜点滴，然后我们一起去玩秋千，提灯笼游公园。现在长期在国外，不能每个星期六去band prac，现在每当想起来我真的有一点想念他们呢。

回到上一次离别前的画面。火锅会过后，众多朋友在esplanade前面玩游戏！那时候还记得我们爬在“I was here”的混凝石上面拍照，然后玩白痴的游戏！！那时候震得很开心，因为我们这一班外表是成人可是内心却是幼稚的人，好像从来没有在户外有过这样互动的游戏。真的很棒。过后，“散水”之前，大家围着忙着道别。那时候，那种大家不舍得分开的气氛突然笼罩着我们一群人，也笼罩着我。我记得林娟和kitty的拥抱。还有乐声+yuxiang，weixiong，buwei+suling， kewei + albert，junwei。他们给我鼓励打气的话，叫我保重和好好照顾自己的叮嘱，我都会好好记住的。临上飞机前，以上人物，加上muxiong, michelle + wensong给我的祝福，我都会铭记于心。当然还有一个盈盈，她是最重要的。她为了我去弄了一头直直长长的头发。我是不会忘记的，而且我很喜欢很喜欢（心里面感激，甜甜~~。。。）。

已经算在外漂泊第五年了。家人也会常常想，为什么我总是喜欢往外跑。为什么那么少回家。在中秋时分，思念家人的心情特别的浓。以后我一定要好好乖乖地呆在家，让他们看我个够我才在离开他们。（呜哈哈哈哈~~）

这种长期在外国的工作，生活里面只有忙碌的工作（可能偶尔会出去走走），根本没有固定的房间，和床，有时候睡觉醒来，根本不知道自己是在哪里？在新加坡？kl？意大利？还是中国。。为了方便，不能拥有太多的东西，不然行李会很重，不方便携带到其他地方。唉，这种就是漂泊。没有固定的一切，不知道什么时候才能安定下来。

虽然漂泊，可是我已经很满足很满足了。因为我最需要的东西，就在我的旁边。

希望中秋节，我的朋友们，都能团团圆圆，开开心心。

下班驾车回家的路上必定经过的地方。这是一个17世纪的皇宫，皇宫顶上有一只鹿，据说和黑魔术有关。

皇宫的周围除了有一大片的平原，还有那种褐色很久很久的房子，可能是以前住在皇宫以外村民的房子吧。黄色的树叶，表示夏天的结束。

村民旧旧的房子，掉这一双可爱的小鞋子。窗口里面还有小猫，仿佛在怨恨着为什么主人没有把它放出来。。（喵~~）

回家路上经过的orbassano小镇的中心。白天的街道让你看到一排不同颜色的房子。上面是住宅，下面是商店。周末的时候，人们出来走走，休息，喝上一杯。

Orbassano小镇的中心。教堂就是它的焦点。教堂里面很庄严，装饰和设计很漂亮。常常有人在这里举行婚礼，葬礼。

a few months ago, Kelly started out as a (Mei Li Ben Nu Ren), a pretty, simple and innocent (still is) gal who dreamt of being a singer. months later, she becomes a (Bei Ai De Nu Ren), a gal who is loved by so many fans who are complete strangers. those who have been following the series, her choice of the first and last songs in the competition sums up her magical journey so aptly.

sigh. the superstar competition finally has come to a close. the one thing all of my LXF will miss a lot will be the nites when we get together every week to cheer Kelly on. last thurs finals was somewhat significant to us all as it might be the last time all of us get to cheer her on together. and my! she made us go wild. so much so that Kitty was saying the next morning when she remembered how Kelly sang Bei Ai De Nu Ren, she will still go excited!!!

tot i will provide a list of the goin ons abt PROJECT SUPERSTAR that you may not have been aware while watchin on tv.

u may have alwaes heard judges say contestants go pitchy, flat or off beat etc and would have thought some of the comments are grossly unfair. well, the truth is that the judges can probably hear better than you. besides being sharp with their ears, they uses headphones throughout the competition to listen to the competitors. the competitiors' voice are actually mic'd out as a seperate track if i m not wrong.

the 2 Ks in my LXF, Kelly and Kewei have neber spoken through the phone b4 even though they know each other fer quite a while liao. and i get to have Kelly's hp no only tis year :P

3.
Kelly was actually not flying during the period fer auditions. if not, she would still b flying in the sky as u r reading tis blog. we were discussing the nite b4 to go try fer the auditions and i tot i told her if she hav gotten famous from tis, den she muz not ferget us. yep! a word of zest turned out to b reality.

4.
PEIFEN! not dawn yip the judge. its the 933 peifen. she was the cheerleading host fer Kelly's camp of supporters. tink shes hotter than some of the superstar contestants. in between filming she would get requests from fans of both camps to pose fer pics. whos the real superstar? kitty, intro me to her leh!!!

5.
Xinhui sang 1/2 a sharp lower in the finals solo performance. got freinds saying how well she sang dat nite... yikes... kudos fer the band on their superb job of making it sounds as everything was ok. those of us sitting below get to hear it all!!

6.
speaking of the great band, 2 of my friends Huiqi and ZQ were the backup vocals fer the finals performance!! wow!! amazing rite? i didnt know until the day itself :P the band is actually very experienced with some of the award winners... wow!!!

7.
the acapella performance was actually pre-recorded. so the contestants sing together with the recorded version. in dat way, nothing will go wrong ey... my friends were singing loads of he yin LIVE behind to make them whole song sound fuller.

to quote wat Kewei had said on fri nite, "fame is really a strange thing. a few months ago, David Tao was my idol, now he is my friend. a few months ago, Kelly was our friend, now she is a superstar."

这是个每年都会有的聚会 – 受邀者都必须附带一些条件, 并不是每个人都能称得上 “猪朋狗友”这个荣衔。

条件一：一定要够疯。

原因更简单：因为她是个超无敌可爱, 聪明伶俐, 温柔懂事, 热情奔放, 歌艺超凡, 肌肤吹彈可破, 飘逸柔发, 千嬌百媚, 閃閃動人的美少女。够简单吧？

米兰小记

9月5日晴。太阳高照，温度却刚刚好。

这里的汽车多数都有定位系统。在一个15度而且下雨的星期天，我和同事们去了米兰。（两句没有关系的句子做开头，不知是否能显示出我强烈的个人写作风格呢。。。）

汽车的定位系统，基本上就是只要你输入目的地，它就会引导你方向的系统。可是，它是说意大利话的。公司只好用一个叫tom tom的人来带我们直奔到米兰。

上面就是会多种语言的tom tom，下面就是汽车原本就安装了的定位系统，不知道较什么名字，只是每次都只会说：“prego …prego..（然后就一堆意大利语）”

米兰是最靠近turin的一个城市，1小时半的车程就可以到达。其实我们的第一个目的地就是AC Milan 和 Inter Milan的球场。很兴奋地开车去到那边，可是却看到警察和交通警察把用围栏把球场围住，所以就不能把车子驶进停车场。最后我们只好在最“靠近“的地方和球场一起拍照留念。

对米兰都不熟悉的我们，把车子停在一条一边是住宅，一边全是名牌店的街道。他们有些街道都是用大块的石砖做马路，都是汽车和电车公用的。马路两旁就是他们很有欧洲特色的建筑物，有的是住宅，有的是特色商店，pub， café和名牌boutique，和我们亚洲国家的城市规划很不一样。这些都是我很喜欢欣赏他们的街道的原因。

一路上，经过很都意大利品牌的商店,可是都是关门的。走在微雨的街道，偶尔看见有人从大大的门走出来，情侣在街头接吻，主人带名贵狗出来散布。。。

然后，我们到了一个我不知道也没有去管它叫什么名字的“殿堂”商场。它是一个呈十字型，两边都是由古老欧洲式做商店，透明玻璃作拱顶的商场。一进去，就有那种很堂皇，很高级的感觉。里面有高级的意大利餐厅，超级意大利名牌gucci, prada, Mercedes, louis vuiton以及其他没听过的商店（请纠正如果我说错或者写错）。我进LV逛了一圈，所看到最便宜的价格是780欧元。然后就快快闪出去，以免不小心撞倒什么。

照片是表达不出那种殿堂级的感觉。一定要亲自来感受一下。

过后，我们就走到了Duomo Cathedral，是来米兰必去之地。教堂前是一片广场，四周围都是那古老式的建筑物。人潮不会很多，可是一大群一大群的鸽子却很自在的围绕着人们，等着我们喂它们吃粟米。当我还在欣赏着景色的时候，有一个突然张开我的手掌，放了一把粟米，拿着我的手扬了扬，然后就很多鸽子突然飞到我的手臂上不停地啄。。。

然后我就甩掉手上有点臭而且很痒的鸽子，给了2欧元那个人（他强迫性要我给的），跑进了教堂。突然，心情完全改变。由刚才看到很多景色很惊喜，哗然突然转变到很平静很神圣。。。（省略20000字）

以上就是我第一次写，而且写得不是很好加上有点懒惰的游记。因为还是意大利人的8月暑假，所以，一间shopping complex都没有去到。所以，艺术时尚之都----米兰，我会再回来的。

他可是个写词天才！俊扬的疯狂歌迷们可知道，你们在《绝对Superstar》决赛当天所听到的3G电影“天…使我爱你”主题曲正是朕的东宫娘娘笔下的好歌！许多新传媒的连续剧都由他填词兼演唱呢！

朕的东宫娘娘可以说上是一个心肠特好的男人。不管怎样都会把自己放在朕和朋友后，处处为人着想。到哪里可以找到这么好的人呢？来人，快打赏！

南宫娘娘：王正权a.k.a. “亲爱的”
另一个天才，是一个和音王子！若你有看《绝对Superstar》的朋友，因该会看到他在台上跟准Superstar门和音！除此之外，他还很会写曲，也买了首歌给Z.Chen。

可是，朕的这个南宫娘娘，长得很黑，所以很怕看到太阳，能躲则躲。不管市上有什么美白产品都会尝试。买衣服也很麻烦，需要买到不能让他看起来太瘦，太黑的服饰，真是那他没折! 真是比朕还要爱美！

西宫娘娘：黄伟雄a.k.a. “Dear”
他拥有一把大家都能认同的好嗓子，真令人羡慕！每个星期六都会在“9xx醉心频道”上听到他播报万字票中奖号码。

最近朕的西宫娘娘人来疯 – 越来越多人认识他了！还有很多小女孩觉得他好看，硬要和他合照。真不知死活！没问过皇上，竟敢和朕的爱妃照相！来人啊！快拖出去斩了！

说真的，很庆幸让西宫娘娘入宫。他可说是朕肚子里的蛔虫，时时刻刻都提醒着郑不要吃太多，要早点睡，时时刻刻都会禀告朕他一天的过程是否愉快，也会很关心朕的一举一动。可能是时候该给他新的荣衔了！可能封他一个“全民偶像”还是什么的。

北宫娘娘：陈苏明a.k.a. “Honey”
北宫娘娘入宫没多久就和朕的其他妃子打成一片，相处的很愉快。可能因为他是个教育者，所以人缘很好吧！但对朕来说，北宫娘娘看似坚强，并非如此。他是个容易受伤的男人，若朕少关心他一点，便会感觉到不自在，所以朕一直都花很多时间在他身上。

但说到美容这方面的知识，朕可是佩服他到五体投地！不管是什么，他都知道它的用途。所以当朕脸上有什么问题，都会问他，绝对不会错！

最后当然是我的正牌皇后娘娘：谢羽伦
这可不是皇父皇母的安排或天子的宿命。可是，认识到皇后娘娘，至今还不知道是祸是福。他入宫已有七年之久，但这七年来都好像没什么风风雨雨，过的有一点太风平浪静了。不过，他对朕也可以说是无微不至，朕说一就一，从不说二。不知到这是好还是坏呢？

可是，朕却认为他是朕的空气。虽看不到，却不能不要。=)

天气慢慢下降，温度从摄氏25度慢慢降到15度。还很期待花草树木变黄，凋谢的画面的我，一直痴痴以为秋天已经来了。（假假表现一下自己文艺的一面）

我的英国印度人同事H，是一个百分百喜欢去clubbing的人。因为他只是停学来做part time，参与这个winter Olympics 2006 @ Turin ,Italy 的project。所以他每天上班的时候就和美女聊天，做事情还过得去，下班了就jio我们陪他一起去clubbing。

H：“Hey man, let’s go chill out la’er (later), meet gals, take pho’os (photos), have a drink and drive around….u noe…come on!”

我，RJ和 KK：“hey! Why u so like clubbing? What is so fun about that?”

H：“hey~~（总是以那种hip hop 黑人的说话style开头）， clubbing is good!(什么屁也good的！) Can see around and make new friends, chilling out （每天下班就想着chill out！）..and I am Ho Seh tonite!!!”看着这个讲话没有t音的人，我们都没什么话可以说了。

然后我们奉陪这个从伦敦来的黑人，驾车出发到Murrazzi。我们3人在车上表情不很丰富，可能有一点木纳。然后H在车上一听到什么屁音乐，就以一脸吃了迷幻药的表情在摇摆，还偶尔用手弄一弄梳了很久的头。

一路上，看着torino的夜景。他们的住家都是很有欧洲风格的建筑，通常落在道路的两旁。下面是商店，上面就是住家。他们的街灯，还有只能容许一辆车过的马路小巷，还有各种打扮得意大利人，让我感觉到很舒服的欧洲风情。也让我想到，走在晚上的街头，可以是很孤单，也是很浪漫的画面。

终于到了murrazzi，这个就是torino晚上大部分年轻人都来clubbing的地方。这里所有的disco都是坐落在河边，然后整排disco 或clubs的上面就是马路，马路旁就是建筑物。

第一次在意大利clubbing，如果能和那班“clubber朋友”一起来，应该是会很难忘的吧！。。。

Torino晚上的街头。第一层通常是商店，以上就是住宅了。几乎全部的建筑都是这个样子的。幻想自己独自走在这街头。。。

Murrazzi, clubbers所聚集的地方。马路旁的就是住宅，下面就是clubs 和 disco了。星期二和星期五的晚上，就是最精彩的时分。

逛河畔的时候，经过一家有live jazz的餐厅。如果带自己心爱的人来，应该会很浪漫吧！

这件disco的设计以红砖为主，很有欧洲的特色。忽然有一个阿beh跑进来。看来是寂寞难耐，来寻找猎物。

看！阿beh找妹妹一起跳舞哦！

Land of Smiles

Rewarded myself to another infamous shopping trip to the Land of Smiles recently and as usual, it's a shop-till-we-drop trip. Bangkok is really a fascinating place where you can get the best bargains you can ever imagine. The things there are way much cheaper than our small island and best of all, it costs only 1/3 of what we pay.

But but But BUT…One thing that we gals never miss is lingerie shopping! Why? You may ask haha... well, one of our guy friends commented that they will never understand why we gals have to spend so much time selecting the pieces and that usually the guys have to wait up to 2 hours for us to finish selecting. Well, allow me to enlighten you ignorant male species out there on the reasons why:

1. Cup size
Needless to say, I'm sure you all know that it comes in various cups sizes right? (If you don't, perhaps you should go dig a hole and bury yourself in the garden.) Sizes differ in different countries. In the European countries, women are better well-endowed and Asian women are petite. Hence, we have to be very careful while choosing, bearing in mind to take note of where each piece is manufactured so that we can get the correct cup sizes and be comfortable with it.

2. Brands
There are certain brands which we normally go for of course. But if there are other choices which provide the same thing, why not look at them as well? It's not like we are stuck with a 2-year plan with a certain brand and must only purchase from them.. hahah! Expensive or cheap, we also need to try to know if it fits.

3. Designs
Some like it plain, some like it sexy. Lingerie designs are getting more varied and we gals are definitely spoilt for choices. So tell me, how can we not take time to devour the lovely designs?

4. Material
With so many players in the market, everyone is trying to outdo one another. Just think of it as the phone network provider market (M1, Singtel and StarHub). Provider A comes up with a new plan, the others follow suit. Likewise, if Triumph comes up with a new material which is t-shirt friendly (not showing lines), others will soon follow suit. Comparison takes time my dears, so how to resist picking up almost every other one to compare? *wink*

5. Prices
In Bangkok, the prices are almost slashed half-price, so tell me guys, how can we not go crazy? Can you imagine, just the upper piece will cost us around $50 in Singapore?

To conclude, lingerie shopping is a tedious job, especially in Bangkok. Perhaps you guys out there can take a few pointers from above and be a good lingerie-shopping partner by giving pointers and opinions, instead of sulking and waiting at the entrance of the departmental store.

Afterall, it's the Land of Smiles you're in.*wink*

how many instances have u come across in your life when not winning is better? tink tink...
i can name a couple of instances below:

1. clay aiken selling better than rubens studdard.
it is no secret that the american idol series favours the losers. less kelly clarkson i guess. i dare predict bo bice will sell better n do better in popularity n sales.

2. hong junyang. lost the superstar contest to weilian, but manages to win the heart of a pretty gal. wish it was me.. hahaha... well conversely, i tink the gals who lost me den probably win a lot more now...

wat is better than to use a good friend's example to illustate the above. hence i would like to congratulate Yilin!! remember Freya Lin Fan, who rose to fame wif the song "Yi Ge Ren Sheng Huo" some years back? well, shes back wif another album and Yilin's song is selected to be in her latest album!!!

the song "Jiao Cha Lu Kou" (not shi zi lu kou - its crossroads) is actually featured in 2003 in this major songwriting competiton known as Xin Yao Jie 2003. back den, her song did not win any awards, but hey, dat song comes out now in one of taiwan's top diva's album!! aint it better than winning first prize in the competition? in fact, so far the winning songs are not featured elsewhere. if you wan to hear the song, please request via comments k!

met up a friend last nite fer steamboat. still feelin the effects of over-eating now. tink we r goin to become great activity buddies ya! anyways Wing is so different from the rest of the gals of her batch! shes daring, smart, fun and has the makings of an successful entrepreneur ok! u will succeed in life! trust me, because Wings are meant to fly!

8月17日晴。太阳一直都在。可是只要不被太阳晒到，空气依然是可以很冰凉的。

现在是下班时间。可是办公室里面只有我们这些没有放暑假的黄皮肤人。

每次上下班，坐车经过一些很有欧洲风情的房子。一路上，公园旁，遗迹周边的意大利人，都会很悠闲地骑着脚踏车，一家大小，出双入对，尽情的享受着这片大地上的一切。偶尔偶尔想象，自己老了的时候，会不会也是这样悠闲，和自己的家人，喜欢的人去享受身边的一切。

已经离开一班朋友差不多2个星期多，不知道自从上次的火锅欢送会后，大家各自的去向。有一些可能很努力在电台表现自己出色的说话和主持功力；有些可能除了为自己原本的事业打拼，还有写写歌，陪陪自己的另一半；有些唱歌唱得很出色的在筹备着下一次的机会；有些已经在星途上打滚发亮的朋友，尽情地发挥自己，和尽力地和偶像一起打拼。还有很多可能我不知道的会发生在他们身上的奇妙事情。。。看着第一次大家合送我的生日礼物，真不舍得拆开来用。。。想起他们，恨不得立刻可以一起出来吃喝玩乐。

因为意大利人还在过暑假，所以每天就被迫要早下班。回到了家，就是和同事们一起吃从一家中国餐馆外带回来的食物。这样，仿佛是大家离开家乡一段日子后，士气下跌而互相打气打气吧！吃完了，就在客厅聊天。这种日长夜短的日子（晚上9点天才会暗），会让我们这种闲不下来的人觉得无所适从。

一天下班回家，他们聊到了我的英国印度人同事，和女朋友最浪漫的时段。本来就没什么精神的我，回想起了很多画面。。。

记得有一次，圣诞节接近了。我从KL回来，是早上7点到达新加坡的火车。回到房间门口，很心急，因为几天没有见面了。上了楼梯，看见门缝下面一闪一闪地散射出红光。我本来就有预感，会有什么特别的东西。可是我不想浪费一分一秒去猜测！我就像立刻看见。

。。。

“哇！”嘴巴张开。因为我看见了灯饰！是圣诞节的灯饰！我很喜欢过节的灯饰，尤其是圣诞节一闪一闪的！！原来，白白的墙上，有一个很大的心型灯饰，小小红色灯泡有规律地闪出花样的灯光。轮流闪亮，忽暗忽亮的。看了心很甜。这个房间，我的心里立刻充满了浓浓的圣诞气氛！！

虽然看到了，知道了房间闪出亮光的原因，这些都只是发生在一秒间。可是，我心里澎湃的感觉是在心里逗留了很久很久。。。

我把目光从墙壁上转到床上，看见有一个被一张厚厚的小熊被裹住的小小身躯。我知道，这个小小的身躯，为了我准备了这些，这个圣诞礼物和惊喜。于是我，就慢慢慢慢的，靠了过去。。。。

这是我觉得很浪漫很浪漫，很难忘的时刻。

回想起来，她第一次去到那么远，第一天上班，却因为我不过细心体贴，忽略了她的感受。没有兼顾到她，连哄她也不要。

我在意大利的家。这里叫Orbassano, Turin。可能是名字的关系吧，很多“欧巴桑”住这里，常常靠到老人到处跑，却看不见年轻人的影子。

The Question

Never knew that I will have superstars as friends. Well, it's true that I'm constantly surrounded by talented friends who can sing, dance, play instruments extremely well, etc so perhaps the chances of having superstars as friends are higher I guess. Haha...

It's weird that it's Edmund (the usually MIA person in our outings, the tone-deaf genius in my life and the one who usually is not involved in anything musical) who popped this question to me, which never really crossed my mind you know. Just right after the finals of Superstar, he simply asked me over the phone: So, who will you be supporting at the Grand Finals this time?

Such a simple question and yet, I have no answer for him - for the first time in my life.

Both Kelly and Weilian are my friends you see. The world of music actually brought us together as friends. For Kelly, we've grown closer through some relationship matters and I do dote on her as she is a really sweet girl. As for Weilian, we used to be singing partners at Muchuan for almost more than 2 years. So it's really hard to make a decision I guess.

I've always been at the superstars semi-finals rooting for Kelly and Weilian and of course I'm happy that both got into the last stage. Kelly has always impressed me with her powerful vocals and her slick dance moves (when we club la). Shi Xin Hui no doubt was a big threat to her since beginning and both Lesheng and I detest her to the core (haha) not because she's a big threat but the fact that she's a "what you see is not what you get" person. I'm quite worried for Kelly actually as she is someone who quite innocent and believes in people easily. However I guess this competition really strengthen her much. She's become a stronger person and I'm proud of her.

Weilian, on the other hand, did not surprise me with his win. His warm and touching vocals really touched my heart when I heard him croon "Heaven Knows" and tears were brimming in my eyes. It's funny, after so many years, his voice touched me again. When I first heard him at Muchuan, I was so touched by his voice and proud to be his singing partner. Never knew that I'll be touched by his vocals again after so many years. (I thought he had given up on singing actually) Despite so many hurdles, he finally made it and I'm also very proud of him.

So how my dear friends? Who should I root for?
To wear red or wear blue? (Red is for Kelly and the latter for Weilian)

Someone suggested that I wear red, with blue jeans and don a sunglass (as a support for Weilian as well). Haha... perhaps I just watch from the telly, rooting for the winner in my heart at the comfort of my room.

fate has a strange way of straightening itself out

suffered a torrid mondae.
started my morning late. spilled water all over the kitchen. mop up while the clock ticks away. stuck in a train fault. work sucks. got dumped by project group mates.

in between, got an msn this evening from Anita @ WCM taiwan. its been quite a while since i last chatted her on msn, and usually when we chat, its becuz of official biz or foootball. shes a super big juve fan, but sadly despite taiwan with its astronomical no of tv channels, none of them showed any football.

do u still remember my curse with names? well, her msn sort of straightening out my curse. since it's been cleared up, i may as well shed some light as to wat this curse is all abt. anyways, this inconspicuous little name of mine have tis habit of occassionally of flashing itself somewhere public. so in its latest adventure, it popped up somewhere wrongly. so i took the opportunity to check with Anita and she has confirmed it to be a serious typo error. and rightly, my publisher lodged an official complaint against the company dat put up my name. well, no compensation involved but i my name will appear in the right place (only god knows why it is flashed itself dere in the first place) on the next re-prints. so right now i will eagerly wait for the samples to arrive by mail. *pray* taiwanese has a knack of misplacing my samples thru the mail :-P

to commemorate my name's flashing itself in the public, i will maintain the tradition of giving away something to somebody special or important or influential. *drum rolls* yep, the winner goes to a tall lady!! hey u, thanks fer giving me loads of encouragement and help!! u sure r a worthy friend!! definitely in contention fer the "Best Newcomer Friend" award!!!

i survived my first exam paper to make the following announcement:

samantha who? shes someone i would sometimes call sam or samanthiee, if i can ever get to the 'thiee' part w/o stuttering. :-P guys, pls wipe off the blood from your nose, and read on. hey young man, where are you looking at?

ok, dun envy me. i first met her 2 years back. hey buddy, its 2 years since we first met! time sure is riding on a bullet train manz! ok, we first met in sch and back den i was suppose to do some voiceover recording fer our annual RAG day performance. she was my voice talent. i didnt know who this voice talent was until tis petite little gal step out of tis group of pretty babes who were practicing their dance. wah, she's so shy! didn't hear her speak until later when we were on the cab to the studio. it was that moment i knew why she was the chosen voice talent. erm, guys, please do something about that bloodied nose of yours!

perhaps by some sort of fate or affinity, we had some sort of an affair going on thereafter. erm dat sort of affairs would be affairs between buddies lah. where u all tinking? and looking?? poor sam, i treat her more like my guy buddies than gal pals. simply becuz shes almost like a guy! while all guys ~ hey dude, yeah u, u r drooling, ~ luv her fer different reasons, to me shes a very real person who speaks wats on her mind all the time. and best of all, we like to tok abt gals and money!! thanks buddy fer all the tok rubbish sessions we hav over the 2 years! wait, i need to call ambulance cuz another chap out dere is suffering from excessive blood loss and requires serious medical attention.

well, it jus gets better aint it? i now hav another friend who is goin to leap into the big screen on Sept 8th. be with me. samanthiee, while u keep saying u r juz a normal gal, i dont tink a normal gal gets to walk the red carpet at Cannes, gets into starhub tvc, gets onto front covers of magazine. my buddy, like the rest of my LXF, u r truely amazing!

tis is an exciting year for the LXF! the LXF is goin places, breaking new grounds and climbing new heights. esp our 2 Ks - Kelly and Kewei.

Kelly.
Needless to say, this is already a household name. :-P so much so that last nite, dere r so many pple congratulating me on msn. sms and ring ring. some of which i have not spoken to a lot. and neber hav i say so much thank yous in my life. hahaha. i m as good as being a superstar. anyways thanks fer giving me tis chance, Kelly!

but deep down i do feel fer her when i saw her on tv last nite. she looked so tired. the busy schedule. the media and public comments she needs to face - in the earlier rounds, whether shes getting favouritism, and now whether she is truely deserving.

the Kelly i know is so simple. wat you see is wat you get. a K.I.S.S gal. still can remember she sent the LXF her lyrics and asking fer opinions and alwaes wanting to learn. she has such a beautiful mid low range vocal dat i often toyed wif the idea to ask her sing rock songs. but she lacks so often in confidence. self-confidence. i guess she will more than make up fer it with her bravery and sincerity. muz work hard!

Kewei.
My goddess oh! juz a little secret: she took part in superstar as well but didnt make it to the 24. but tis lass still managed to hit the headlines in another way. she was the lady dat the chinese R&B godfather David Tao gave his first dance to during his concert in Shanghai a few days ago. and my! a red hot tango!

despite missing out on the competition, she however caught the eye of 2 of the arguably most talented people in the music industry, David Tao and Goh Kheng Long. in case you have not heard of Kheng Long, hes one of the most sought after music producer and hes a HANDSOME singaporean!! *slurp* sorry but hes married. so Kewei will be touring with Tao Zhe on his Asian Tour as a 1. backup vocalist 2. violinist 3. er-hu player and now 4. tango dancer. tink dere will b more to her performances on the next few stops.

to get tis far, she has to endure the packed and tough rehersal schedules. she has to memorise all her scores. reherse 8 hours a day. the stress level is paramount. but she lived thru it! alwaes oozing wif confidence when shes on stage and had earned rave reviews!

she has a captivating mid high range which had over time packed in quite a lot of power. ever since the XYJ 2003, shes is one of my targets - to work wif lah! and like Kelly, she too pens her own songs. her next stop is Beijing - September 30th 2005. 10000 screaming fans. Jia U!

am so sorrie! think all of us are very excited about Kelly's win so i m a little late in my posting. Kelly, if you are reading this, Milk sends his well wishes all the way from ITALY!

8月16日意大利的秋天

晴。太阳偶尔很晒，可是空气可以很冰冷。天气很好，一望无际的玉蜀黍田，配上远方的山峦，是一幅很美的景色。

其实，我根本不知道秋天到来时那一天。这里的景色和建筑物，让我有一种舒适安静的感觉。远离了闹市的烦嚣，也是蛮不错的。所以不管是夏天，还是夏秋换季，都让我觉得很舒服。

已经离开新加坡两个礼拜了。工作一直很忙。难得可以早下班回来，就写一些东西来抒发吧！

这个不知道是大还是小的城市，是我第一个踏足的欧洲城市。这里有意大利最好的巧克力，fiat车的产地，让我觉得不可以小看这个平静安宁的还有很多老人的地方。每天上下班的车程，渐渐让我了解到它的美丽。。。（以上省略20000字）

先说说我的同事吧。有一个就是单身却很巴辣的女孩子S，工作的时候不骂人是不会爽的！另外2个新加坡人，一个是我的大学同学KK。他是一个一直很坚强的人，是我见过少有的积极的男孩。另外一个以前是海军的男孩RJ，是个赛车手。驾车“西北“快！！还有另外1个是英国籍的印度人。他叫H。他说话没有t的音。比如better 变成be‘er,later变成la’er以此类推。

先介绍H。他很喜欢clubbing，每天下班回来都要去chill out, 看女孩子。我们每次都拿他来做笑柄，因为他每天在浴室都要花上老半天“化妆”，为待会的clubbing做好准备。我们没有斗欺负他听不懂华语，所以常常讲他坏话。我们还叫他福建话比如hoseh, paiseh。所以他有一次穿美美了准备出去，就说：yeah! let’s go chill out baby! I am going to “ho she” tonite! The nite is gonna be beau’iful!! (注意！没有t的音)

。。。看着他那很高腰的boxer，我们都忍不住笑。

唉。。。很想念盈盈。。。只好写一些日常生活趣事来抒发。

8月是意大利人的暑假。全部店都几乎关门。慵懒的星期六，慵懒的城市。

走在湿答答的河畔。空气是冰冷的。可是欧洲的味道很浓。

就是在这个小角落，开始了我的日记。

ouch!
tink i scored an own goal today. it is an open secret that i m taking a part time dip, so my big boss n boss seems to tink that my interest is not at where my butt is - in the office dat is. sighz. my increments can kiss goodbye liao.

my peers seems to b doin well in the company. dere is alwaes comparison and i heard a couple of them are well on the way up. mayb i m lousy. dunno whether can ever b like them anot. even i m afraid my juniors r earning more than i do. sighz.

most of my batch pple r out of the industry. we hav quite a no of teachers, air stewardess, bankers. pays better. in fact except those bonded, tink 80% of my batch have changed a least a perm job. ironically, i am the only few who still serving their first perm employer. but my boss is right, no company can keep us BRE grads happy with MY kind of pay. sigh.

btw, i forgotten to thank Kitty fer mentioning my name on air on last sat! THANKS THANKS!

Music is the shorthand of emotions

Recently I picked up my non-existence song-writing skill again.

Not easy actually.

I had to wreck my brains out for just a few simple paragraphs. Often I wonder how others manage to come up with superb stuff in just minutes (ok a bit exaggerated, maybe a day?) when I had to slog my life away for it. Perhaps it just doesn't flow to me I guess. Or I'm just not the type whereby I can express myself freely with words?

Haha. It's ironic, cos I am in actual fact, honoured, to be asked to pen down my thoughts in KOPI as a guest blogger.

Ok ok, back to my topic for today:

Music n.
Vocal or instrumental sounds possessing a degree of melody, harmony, or rhythm.

Shorthand n.
A system of rapid handwriting employing symbols to represent words, phrases, and letters.

This universal language is powerful. The same song, played to different people, touches them in different ways - sad, touched, comforting, happy, etc.

It's weird why people listen to slow, miserable sad songs when they are sad. Doesn't it make them feel even worse? Or are they actually a source of comfort as the songs are relating to what they feel?

Can you imagine listening to 寂寞的季节 (David Tao) followed by 叶子 (Ah Sang) and lastly 我们都寂寞(Eason Chan)? I think I will have a knife near my wrists, ready to slash them when the last note finishes.

But undeniably, it's the lyrics that touch the soul, the melody that soothes the ear and the treatment of the song that reflects one's feelings. Perhaps using the all the above that I've mentioned, it's the "shorthand" way to express how you feel through a song, else why are there so many people, sending thousands of dedications to radio stations in the hope of getting them played on air? Why else will people want to dedicate a certain song to someone, whom they want them to reciprocate what they feel for that particular song?

So I hope, through my non-existence song-writing skill, I'll be able to touch everyone's heart, even if I have to wreck my brains, slog my life away for it.
It's well worth the effort I guess.

It's ironic, cos I have in fact wrote something, sold something, had a 100% hit rate when it comes to selling songs (wrote 1 song, sold 1 song) and yet not touching anyone's heart still - cos no one knows about the song.

音樂才子陶喆2005年世界巡迴演唱會，昨(13)晚間在上海開唱，陶喆一出場就從天而降，給了歌迷一個大驚喜！陶喆還大跳探戈，大秀舞技，演唱會歌迷大享視覺、聽覺特效，雙管齊下讓表演精采萬分！

像個白馬王子，陶喆乘坐直昇機從天而降，現場尖叫聲不斷，演唱會舞台更瀰漫濃濃熱帶叢林風。而最具噱頭的是陶喆價值300萬元的水晶裝！陶喆說今晚要讓歌迷看到他動感的一面。演唱會中，陶喆即興演唱了一段Rap，讓上海歌迷瘋狂尖叫，現場氣氛High翻天！

對於演出細節，陶喆三緘其口，就是想讓演唱會帶給歌迷驚奇！而他的巡迴演唱會「2005就是愛你音樂驚奇之旅」首站進軍上海，不出所料的盛況空前，不少藝人如徐若瑄都趕來捧場助陣。表演歌曲都經過全新編曲、18位樂手加上陶喆絕佳的唱功，天衣無縫得演出，就連三位合聲實力都令人激賞，尤其情商曾發過片的歌手Lisa出馬，渾厚沙啞的歌聲更是搶去陶喆不少風采。

演唱會開場VCR中，陶喆為了完成一項音樂任務駕駛直昇機和音樂夥伴會合，途中卻因為直昇機發生故障被迫「迫降」熱帶雨林，為了讓熱帶雨林氣氛更生動逼真，整個舞台斥資180萬人民幣打造，據說比周杰倫之前在上海的演唱會還要貴，其中光是雨林造景就花掉35萬人民幣，不少樹葉還是一片一片貼上去的呢，可以說是精心打造。而舞台中「迫降」的中古直昇機，則是陶吉吉堅持花12萬台幣買下來的，該架直昇機將隨著陶吉吉世界巡迴演唱會四處亮相，9月10日轉戰北京，12月初就會在台灣歌迷見面。

白、紅、黑、大地色系4組是陶喆演出服裝重點，分別象徵了人生從無到有再到回歸自我、重燃希望。第1套白色禮服重達4公斤，上頭還有SWRAROVSKI贊助300萬的水晶鑽，讓陶喆看起來帥氣又貴氣。同時為了展現鍛鍊許久的體魄，陶喆大露手臂肌肉和「六塊胸肌」耍性感，也不忘打趣笑說他有貼「胸貼」喔！惹得歌迷尖叫聲連連。

整場演唱會全靠陶喆撐場，沒有特別嘉賓，30多首歌從頭唱到尾，陶喆始終芬長良好，無論是演唱「找自己」、「黑色柳丁」、「小鎮姑娘」還是「愛我還是他」、「寂寞的季節」、「Melody」、「月亮代表我的心」等情歌，無不讓全場歌迷如痴如醉，唱到「My Anata」時，陶喆還跳探戈，第一次舞蹈處女秀獻給上海演唱會，而舞蹈英姿也讓陶喆獲得如雷掌聲。

其中大陸官方原本因「端正善良風俗」，而向陶喆的歌曲「鬼」和「王八蛋」下禁唱令，不過陶喆腦筋一動，把「鬼」唱成「喂」，把「王八蛋」唱成「王牛般」，才過關得以演唱這2首膾炙人口的歌曲。演唱會中集聚不少巧思，唱完「寂寞季節」背著吉他的陶喆，被「樹人」吸進「樹洞」裡消失舞台上，「孫子兵法」最後100隻鴿子從舞台衝出飛上天空，讓歌迷驚奇不斷、大呼過癮。

the something to do with my curse with names has just gotten some airtime. if you ever got up so early tis morning (sat) with your eyes half closed and brain on standby, you might have heard the 3 words 'chen junwei' across the airways. yep dats my name! no mistake. :-P

well todae i sort of made 3 new year's resolution already. those hav been made long long ago actually but have alwes been canned due to some reasons. now i feel i shld really do sumthin abt it. the 3 resolutions are:

1. learn cooking
2. form a band
3. get my volleyball coaching license

learn cooking. learn my mum's (actually shld b me grams') receipes. my mum only manage to obtain 70% of me grams' gong li. so it will be hard to get all the receipes rite. they include nonya sambal prawns, sweet sour pork trotters. *slurp* i also wan to learn fine dinning cooking. can cook a good meal fer some gal some day.

form a band. alwaes wanted a gal who can sing like yang nai wen, look like yang nai wen and dao like yang nai wen. but so far dun have. any recommendations? looking fer guitarist as well. yah recently found that this band Cold is quite good.

get my volleyball coachin license. somehow after seeing alfred coach todae i tot i wan to really fulfil tis tot dat i hav since my U days. how i missed my playing days. it would b good to work wif youngsters wor. volleyball is such a fast paced game and needs a lot of observation, b mentally quick and great teamwork. the team play is the strongest of all sports i tink, with everyone on court having really specific roles. my kind of game. fyi, i played on a role called bu zhu, who supports the blockers and pick up the let loose balls. now tis role is better known as 'the libero', the chap who wears a different colour shirt from the rest of his/her team and stays at the back row.

got pple askin when i gettin a new gf? it's on my list but not so high up. mayb i shld turn gay huh. i m more used to seeing happie couples and hearing wedding bells i guess. congrats to my friends who r getting married tis year and next year! so happie to see all of u in eternal bliss! yep, no worries, i have yor ang baos budgeted. :-P

quite a no of my friends are currently job hunting. earlier today, a friend was telling me that the company she was temping at has not confirmed if she will ever become a perm staff dere even though she was given some indication. it kinda struck me becuz not too long ago i was also facing the same uncertainty. mayb becuz like me last time, she is also a newbie now and there is probably less compelling reasons to take in newbies rite away?

i tink she is capable and capable gals shldn't really tink too hard. keep her options open. be more aware to the benefits attached to a job rather than the physical pay. be open to what she really likes and be happie over a long long time. all the very best to u, u know who u r! jia u!

When can I see you again?

Today's entry is dedicated to Milk, (friend who had left for greener pastures), Kewei and Ein Ein (those who will be leaving, also for greener pastures) and SuperStarry friends Kelly and Weilian.

Milk: It's funny actually. Even though you've left for HK, but I still see you online everyday - It's just like you've not gone yet. Just that whenever we have any outings, there will be a significant "silence", a durian eating kaki lesser, a clubbing-fanatic gone. Come back soon my friend. Remember your promise ok?

Kewei: Only one word to describe my feelings. ENVIOUS! I cannot tell u how envious I am to come in close contact with DAVID TAO! Goodness, it's really a good opportunity and I can tell your enthusiastic on the upcoming concerts! Jia you jia you! Perhaps I will see you on your very own concert soon. And yes, I remember my promise - to bring banners which screams "Kewei" for David Tao's concert *wink*

Ein: This lovely talented girl is also leaving, leaving her piano, leaving her friends (yup, me included) for greener pastures. It's very hard not to miss her, especially her super funny jokes (spoken in true blue Malaysian accent) and her super scary horror stories. The chairman of Mafia Association is going away and I wonder when we will get to play the game again?

Kelly: Last performance was really cute. Absolutely sweet, absolutely delicious. The performance, dress, make-up was impeccable. Even though I only heard the REAL Kelly at the last few lines, but that was enough. But my dear friend, when are u going to meet up with me? Nowadays can only catch her on TV, SMS and phone. Sigh. It's just like you are overseas - like Milk. Please take care of your health dearie and Jia You! I'm sure you can be the next superstar!

Weilian: A long-time singing partner whom never fail to inspire me with his "colourful" language. The Weilian I know and the Weilian on screen is not much different - just a little more brotherly I guess. He's someone whom "shoots" his mouth with frankness - I admire that! Saw his reaction last night on TV when he managed to get into the next semi - couldn't help but teared a little. It was touching to see him value Jason as a friend that much. Persevere on my friend, you can do it! Hope to meet up with u soon though despite your busy schedule.
